Fleet is the brand new Irish-made peer to peer car rental app revolutionising the car rental industry.
The creators of Fleet were frustrated with long queues and paperwork every time they rented from traditional rental companies. They wanted to create a cheaper car rental offering; simple, fast and available with a few simple taps of an app.
By renting a car through Fleet, you can pick from a selection of other Fleet users vehicles in your area. You save money, they make money and the entire process is simple and hassle free.
Fleet understands the costs associated with owning and running a car, so why not make your car work for you. With Fleet you can earn extra money renting out your car when it’s not in use to help pay the bills, or maybe pay for that much needed holiday.

Peer to peer car rental is the rental of private cars between individuals where the car owner charges the driver for the rental period.
When you choose to make money from your car and rent it out via Fleet, you will be required to provide us with some basic details and ensure your car matches the required criteria.
- Motorcycles are not available to rent via Fleet
- Your car must be no older than 10 years old
- Your car must have a full valid NCT and be deemed roadworthy by the National Car Testing Service and display a valid NCT disc.
- Your car must be taxed and display a valid Tax disc. In the event your car tax expires during the duration of a potential rental, you are not permitted to have your car listed for rent until the tax is renewed and the new valid disc is displayed in the car.
- When you rent your car, we will provide you with a simple checklist for your car. This will document any existing damage, and the current condition of the car.
When you list your car, we will provide you with a guide price on how much to rent your car for per day. You can change this if you so wish. We will also give you a checklist of photos to take so you can make sure you really show off your car!

When you create your profile on Fleet, you will be requested to provide some basic information. We will require a scanned image of your current, valid driving licence, your date of birth, and details on any penalty points, outstanding claims or convictions.
Once your profile is set up, you can search for the car you want to rent and provided you meet all criteria, you are all set!
Please note, that at this stage, we are unable to accept certain driving licences from some countries.
- You must be aged 25 or older to rent a car
- You must hold a valid, full driving licence for at least 24 months.
- Drivers aged 30 or younger may be restricted on the cars they rent based on insurance category and high performance vehicles.

Our insurance policy will supersede the car owners private policy for the duration of the rental.
In the event any damage or an accident occurs to the car during the rental period, the car is covered by our policy and the car owner’s personal policy will not be affected.
For drivers renting a car, the insurance premium is calculated per individual and displayed clearly at the checkout. The premium is added on top of the hire fee.
Speeding tickets, Parking tickets, and toll charges are the responsibility of the driver and won’t affect the car owner.

When you rent a car through Fleet, we have a personal “My Documents” section. This provides you with a safe, secure location which stores all your details and the rental details.
The scanned image of your valid driving licence will be stored here, along with the confirmation between you and the car owner on the condition of the car, plus a copy of the Fleet insurance policy which insures you for the duration of your rental.
In the event you are asked to produce these documents, you have them to hand, quickly and easily in your Fleet App.
If you are the driver of a rental car and you are unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident, or damage occurs to the car caused by either yourself or another person, you must inform Fleet immediately.
You can do this by sending us a message via the App, or at the bottom of this page.
We will require full details of the incident, any insurance details of other parties involved and photographic evidence of the incident.
All claims are handled by Fleet.
In the event of a dispute between the car owner and driver, Fleet will act as an intermediary.
